Martin Bruno is a photographer drawn to timeless places. Through wandering paths and chance encounters, his images often become the beginning of a story. His work moves between documentary and staged photography, exploring territories and creating subtle geographical “portraits”.

In his documentary work, Martin focuses on places and communities where landscapes, ways of life and fragile environments are slowly disappearing. Through these images, he seeks to preserve fragments of these worlds and the delicate relationships between people and their surroundings.

In his staged work, Martin constructs images that alter the perception of reality, creating subtle shifts between observation and fiction.

Moving between documentation and construction, his photographs explore landscapes, atmospheres and human presence with a cinematic sensibility.

Martin collaborates with publishing houses such as Rizzoli, Actes Sud, Keribus and Segnature, and has worked with brands including Hermès, LVMH, Apple and Aman.
His work has appeared in magazines such as The Plant, Tmag, Atmos and AD.

In 2009, Martin took part in the group exhibition Portraits de villes at Galerie Philippe Chaume in Paris, presenting work from his book on Reykjavík, published by Be-Poles.

In 2012, his work was presented at Paris Photo with Galerie Frank Elbaz in a group exhibition alongside Wallace Berman, Charles Brittin and Bruce Conner.

Between 2024 and 2026, Martin presented the solo exhibitions Paris est un livre, Noon Day Sun and Purpurea at OFR Gallery Bookshop in Paris.
